In keeping with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we ask parents to schedule an initial appointment with us as soon as your child’s first tooth grows. Usually, this is around their first birthday. We likely won’t perform the treatment at this appointment – instead, it’ll be a chance for us to get to know each other, for your child to get acclimated to visiting our Lynnwood dentist’s office, and for your pediatric dentist to examine your child’s mouth and ensure dental development is progressing normally. In addition, we’ll answer any questions you have and guide you in maintaining good oral hygiene at home.
How to Prepare Your Child for the Dentist
